Your health insurance is not affected by your membership.  Lifeway will file claims for medical services with your health insurance or Medicare.  Members continue to be responsible for co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles.  Lifeway works with most medical insurance plans.  Be aware that health insurance plans are constantly changing.  If you want a Medicare Advantage Plan, be certain your policy has “Out-of-Network” benefits.  We do not participate with Humana or Medicaid programs.

No.  Lifeway Concierge members purchase non-covered services through an annual membership fee that is NOT covered by health insurance or Medicare.  It may be covered by Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) or Health Savings Accounts (HSA).

No.  The annual fee can be paid monthly through an automatic draft from your checking account; or annually or semi-annually  by check or credit card.

Lifeway Concierge Medicine specializes in the care of out-patient medical problems with coordination with specialists.  When our patients require inpatient care, we refer to the skilled hospitalists at Sentara Hospitals.  Our physicians see Lifeway Enhanced Care patients who are hospitalized at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital and help to coordinate their care.  We do not go to other hospitals.  We are on staff at Virginia Beach Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and care for our Lifeway Enhanced Care patients who are admitted there.
